GreenMedia82.com was created by me, Eric Humildad, who has a vision of bringing together environmentally like-minded individuals who care about our Mother Planet Earth and all the species that reside on this globe. More importantly, I would like my children to have the opportunity to grow up appreciating, admiring and observing the same species of fauna and flora that I have; before it is too late. As a result, the purpose of GreenMedia82 is hope, hope to achieve this by creating relatable stories based on issues and ideas of conservation of natural resources (water), biodiversity (Endangered species), and natural history (Geography).
Growing up in California has allowed the opportunities to observe a wide range of ecosystems from the wetlands of Newport Beach in the west, the high desert of the Mojave and the low desert of the Sonoran in the east, and the chaparral and woodlands of the Transverse Mountain Range in-between. Nonetheless, passion is what drives me to be the voice for the beautiful ecoregions of California accordingly, the wildlife and plant communities of these regions have greatly inspired my storytelling.
Timeline of experiences.
When I was 12, I wanted to become a Hip-Hop Recording Artist.
When I was 16, I dropped out of High School and attended continuation School to have more time to focus on rap music.
When I was 18, I graduated three months ahead of my class and enrolled in Community college for Communications.
When I was 21, I moved to Hollywood to Attend Musicians Institute and surround myself in the Entertainment environment and atmosphere.
When I was 22, I toured California. Living the dream.
When I was 25, I attended ICON Collective in downtown Los Angeles at the request of my music mentors to further my understanding of studio production.
When I was 26, I maintained myself as an independent Artist and went back to Community College but never finished.
When I was 28, I started to grow tiresome of the lifestyle and needed more fulfillment in my life.
When I was 29, I met my wife who inspired me to go back to school.
When I was 30, I enrolled in a California Naturalist program offered by the University of Berkeley which fueled my interest in the Environmental Movement.
When I was 31, I finished College and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Phoenix, however, I also became a stay at home father.
And today, at the prime age of 34, I want to share my knowledge and expertise with others who might have traveled a similar path; to inspire and educate and add value to humanity by creating a legacy.
Some other elements that inspire and keep me driven are; Family, Photography, Audio-visual Technologies, volunteering, continuing education, community engagement and Spoken Word poetry.
